In April 2014 a negligent source water switch in Flint, a city of nearly 100,000 people (during that period) caused lead pipes to corrode and contaminate the drinking water. Devastating an already poverty-stricken city dealing with significant socioeconomic challenges. This catastrophic water switch resulted in:

• Criminal charges, including involuntary manslaughter
